Meerut, India – July 5, 2025: Bajaj Auto has officially teased, and subsequently, launched the upgraded 2025 Bajaj Dominar 250 and Dominar 400 in India. The popular sports touring motorcycles receive a host of new electronic and ergonomic improvements, promising a sharper touring DNA and a more technology-driven riding experience.
The new Dominar 400 is priced at Rs 2,38,682 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the updated Dominar 250 costs Rs 1,91,654 (ex-showroom, Delhi). These models will replace their outgoing versions and are available for purchase across Bajaj showrooms nationwide.
What's New in the 2025 Bajaj Dominar Range?
While the overall muscular and imposing design of both Dominar models largely remains unchanged, Bajaj has focused on significant feature upgrades, particularly in the electronics and touring department.
For the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400:
Advanced Digital Instrument Cluster: The most significant update is the new full-colour LCD bonded glass speedometer, which appears to be borrowed from the recently launched Pulsar NS400Z. This unit replaces the previous multi-piece display setup and offers:
Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration.
Turn-by-turn navigation.
Call and SMS alerts.
Real-time mileage indicator.
Gear position indicator, clock, and more.
Ride-by-Wire with Ride Modes: The Dominar 400 now features Ride-by-Wire technology via an electronic throttle body, enabling four selectable riding modes:
Road: Standard riding.
Rain: Softer throttle response and increased ABS intervention for wet conditions.
Sport: Sharper throttle response for dynamic riding.
Off-Road: Likely optimized for milder off-road terrains with specific ABS settings.
Revised Ergonomics: Bajaj has redesigned the handlebar for improved comfort over long distances, catering to the bike's touring aspirations.
Integrated GPS Mount: A new carrier at the rear now features an integrated GPS mount, allowing for seamless navigation without aftermarket solutions.
New Switchgear: To control the advanced digital cluster and ride modes, the Dominar 400 gets updated switchgear, potentially including a small joystick for easier navigation.
Mechanically Unchanged (Mostly): The 2025 Dominar 400 continues to be powered by the same 373.3cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine, which produces 39.42 bhp at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The engine is now expected to be updated to meet the latest OBD-2B emission norms.
For the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 250:
New Digital Instrument Console: Similar to its elder sibling, the Dominar 250 also receives an updated digital instrument console, likely the unit seen on the Pulsar NS200. This brings:
Smartphone connectivity.
Turn-by-turn navigation.
Call and message notifications.
Four ABS-enabled Ride Modes: While retaining its mechanical throttle body, the Dominar 250 now offers four ABS modes, enhancing safety and control across different riding conditions.
Revised Handlebar & GPS Mount: Similar ergonomic and touring-friendly updates as the Dominar 400.
Mechanically Unchanged: The Dominar 250 continues to use the 248.77cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine, producing 26.63 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 23.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.
"Born to Sprint, Built to Tour"
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Sarang Kanade, President, Motorcycle Business Unit, Bajaj Auto, emphasized the brand's commitment to spearheading the Sports Touring revolution in India. He stated, "The 2025 Dominar range is not just an upgrade, it's a declaration: the road belongs to those who don't hold back."
These updates aim to solidify the Dominar's position as a premium sports tourer, offering advanced technology and enhanced comfort for long-distance riding enthusiasts. The motorcycles are now even more "touring-ready" right from the showroom floor with factory-fitted accessories.
Pricing (Ex-showroom, Delhi):
2025 Bajaj Dominar 400: ₹2,38,682
2025 Bajaj Dominar 250: ₹1,91,654
The new models are now available for booking and purchase at Bajaj dealerships across India, with deliveries expected to commence in the coming weeks.
